Kirsten is an undergraduate Biology major specializing in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. Her recent work was on microcins in Proteus mirabilis and their ability to colonize the mouse gut and compete with native Escherichia coli. Kirsten’s goal is to attend veterinary school and research infectious diseases in veterinary medicine.
