Mady joined the lab in 2022 and has worked on a variety of projects since then. Her major focus is microcins. Her first project showed how microcins structure biofilm in Acinetobacter baumannii. Currently she is working on microcins in Vibrio cholerae and figuring out how they can be used to treat an ongoing infection. Outside of the lab, she loves to bake, read, paddleboard, cheer on the Longhorn Football team, and watch movies with her husband.
